JUST-GREEN AFRH2ICA has organised a training event to be held the next 31st of July in Borg El Arab, Egypt.
Edit 02/08/2024
The workshop was a success!. It was the occasion to discuss about and work on the potential use of green hydrongen for the decarbonisation of the maritime sector. Interesting insights have been collected and we will use it in our work to promote hydrogen as a viable solution for EU-AU collaboration in the green transition of our economies.

Thanks to its strategic position between Europe and the Far East, its current and future renewable power plant installations, and its extensive energy infrastructure, Egypt is well-positioned to become a leading African Hydrogen Hub. This makes Egypt the “hydrogen door” for exporting African green hydrogen to Europe. Recently, Egypt has been advancing political agreements with the European Commission and several EU countries, focusing on energy as a key area of cooperation.
For sustainable economic development and the decarbonization of their economies, Europe and Africa must collaboratively promote a hydrogen transition. Achieving this requires the development of specialized knowledge on both continents and JUST-GREEN AFRH2ICA wants to contribute through events dedicated to training local students.
