H2ATLAS-AFRICA project is a joint initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and African partners in the Sub-Saharan region (SADC and ECOWAS countries) to explore the potentials of hydrogen production from the renewable energy sources within the sub-regions, where our partner Forschungszentrum Jülich is one of the key contributor.
The results of the H2Atlas for West Africa are already available.
Enormous potential for the production of green hydrogen exists throughout the region. The production “hot spots” can be viewed in the interactive map.
If you go now to https://africa.h2atlas.de/ you have the possibility to select two regions (West and South). You will be then automatically redirected to the National fact sheets, which could be downloaded as pdf as well.
