After introducing the Università degli Studi di Genova, we tell you about the members who are part of it and who have a role within the JUST-GREEN AFRH2ICA project.
Prof. Aristide Fausto Massardo
Prof. Massardo is the coordinator of the Thermochemical Power Group since 1998 managing a group of about 35 researchers between permanent staff, post docs, and Ph.D. students.
He has been involved in more than 30 EU research projects, and in many other international collaborations with USA, Japan, Korea, Brazil , China institutions .
He also coordinated different Academic-Industrial cooperative research laboratories and initiatives specifically in the field of hydrogen (ROLLS ROYCE, FINCANTIERI etc) with companies. His research activity includes more than 20 international “invited and keynote lecturers”, and more than 130 Journal papers, and roughly the same number of Conference presentations.
He supported the setup of two spin-off company and he’s currently chairholder of UNESCO Chair “Innovative Sustainable Clean Energy Research and Education.
Dr. Stefano Barberis, PhD received his PhD in Turbomachinery and Energy Systems Engineering at University of Genova in 2016.
He is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in renewableenergy sources, project management, techno-economical feasibility studies, research activities on energy storage and renewable energy systems, due diligence, innovation and technology transfer. He’s currently researcher at University of Genova.
ts R&D interest are related to energy storage, hydrogen, advanced energysystem and energy efficiency solutions. He has a wide experience in working with international teams and in participating/managing in EU funded project having been coordinator of different H2020 projects (PLANHEAT, SUNHORIZON, MUSE GRIDS, SOLARSCO2OL, ENGIMMONIA and EVERYWH2ERE).
